HK Card Advisor is designed to help users compare credit card rewards, rebates, caps, and merchant offers. We take privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains our approach to information handling and confirms what we do (and do not) collect.

We do not collect personal information or user data from your use of the app.

Specifically, we do not collect or store:

  • Name, phone number, email address (unless you contact us—see Section 6)

  • Government IDs or financial account information

  • Credit card numbers

  • Transaction histories uploaded to our servers

  • Contacts, photos, precise location, advertising identifiers

  • Any data used for tracking across apps/websites

3) Data Stored on Your Device

Any cards you add, bonus selections, spending inputs, or preferences are stored locally on your device and are used only to provide app functionality. This information is not transmitted to us.

4) Third-Party SDKs, Analytics, and Advertising

We do not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs that collect user data.

5) Server Sync of Card Data / Offers

The app may fetch publicly available card reward rules, bonus schemes, caps, and merchant offer information from our server so the content stays up to date. This content sync does not require or transmit your personal data.

6) If You Contact Us (Support)

If you email or message us for support, we will receive the information you choose to share (for example: your email address, message content, and any attachments).

We use this information only to respond to you and provide support, and we do not use it for marketing unless you explicitly request it.

7) Permissions

HK Card Advisor does not require access to sensitive device permissions (such as contacts, photos, microphone, or precise location) to function.

8) Data Retention

Because we do not collect user data from app usage, we do not retain such data.

Support communications (Section 6) may be retained only as long as necessary to resolve your request and for reasonable record-keeping, then deleted or anonymized where practical.

9) Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect our systems and content services. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10) Children’s Privacy

HK Card Advisor is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11) Compliance and Your Rights

If you are located in Hong Kong, local privacy laws may apply. Since we do not collect personal data through app usage, many access/deletion requests will not apply.

12) Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective Date” above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
